This is important: Noah Bookbinder explains how and why Trump could be removed from the ballot in many states (in civil lawsuits) even before a guilty verdict.

Note: Because I no longer trust MSNBC at all, I did a tiny bit of research on this organization (CREW). It’s NOT a group of “conservative lawyers” — it actually started as a Democratic/liberal organization but is now at least somewhat bipartisan and goes after corruption in both parties.

@sanau The guest they had on MSNBC was indeed from CREW. However, I believe the authors of the paper they are referring to are actually members of the Federalist Society: Prof William Baude (University of Chicago) and Prof Michael Stokes Paulsen (University of St. Thomas). Their study is being published in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

@Synical Ah, I see - that makes more sense. Thanks.

@sanau You're welcome; it threw me for a loop, too - I was wondering why they didn't have one of the authors on. I'm kind of curious if they even reached out to them, or if they were immediately denied. Don't think the Federalist Society and MSNBC are necessarily big admirers of each others work. 😉
