I live in a perpetual state of fear with my house. It's like it can sense that I have some savings in my account. "That's cute," says the house "it would be a shame if the dryer broke right now, wouldn't it?"

@SwervingLemon I rented apartments until I finally bought a condo at 40, because I didn't want the headaches.

A home is always a wise investment *over time* but there's always something to upgrade. Because, well, Florida, we are upgrading our windows to impact-resistant, otherwise we may not be able to get homeowner insurance.
