My dad was teaching me how to rivet at 6 (my mother about had a heart attack LOL) His goal in life was to make me as independent as possible, so what he knew, I was gonna know. And I appreciate that more than I ever told him. I think we were both pretty lucky in the Dad department😊

Haha.. rototilling the garden, changing oil on the car, the safe use of band saws, crosscut saws, and jigsaws, reroofing the house, installing kitchen cabinets, rewiring for ceiling fans. 😂
I realize this may not be what you meant, but in the context of how I grew up, my dad was never really sure what to do with the girly side of me so he just included me in the things he taught my brothers. After they left the house, he gave one-on-one lessons. 😃
