BUT! The Jam were not done just yet. Because not very long after their final studio album, The Gift, they released their most bizarre record ever.

And it's not a bad record. It's lyrically brilliant albeit somewhat tongue in cheek, and production wise it's strongly reminiscent of Motown.

It's the last genuine Jam record. Beat Surrender had nothing to do with The Jam.
