I reference three movies from three different decades in my upcoming review... I'm quite happy with that :)

I just randomly stumbled onto the poster for the 1983 Lucio Fulci fantasy movie called Conquest and when I saw the dude in the lower left I immediately thought of Castlevania's cover. So inspiration taken from the poster or just coincidence?

It never ceases to amaze me how much shorter trips seem when the environment isn't trying to actively kill you. Today was the first day of the year when I went out of my building and the air that hit my face was not only not cold, but it was mildly lukewarm... fucking finally.

Ever considered of getting Retro Gamer magazine? Hopefully this helps with that :) youtu.be/KMQv5RhYpFE

Been playing a fair bit of this game lately. Still playing the same session I played during the stream, btw and it is wonderfully slow and steady. At least the way I play it :))

Set during a nuclear winter, Metro 2033 takes place in the Moscow underground, where humanity has sought refuge in many and massive metro stations and tunnels. Will you be able to brave the horrors of this post-apocalyptic world and emerge victorious? Or will you succumb to the dangers that lurk in every corner?

Hot take on a couple of 30-year old albums: The second half of Metallica’s LOAD is a slog to listen to. It’s filler made of a few ultra-polished and over-produced good sonic ideas that just doesn’t make for a continuously pleasurable listening experience. ReLOAD is the overall superior album, as far as I’m concerned. A likewise strong first half but with deep cuts that I still thoroughly enjoy to this day. Give a listen to Where the Wild Things Are, Slither and Devil’s Dance.

Arkham City expands on the successful elements of its predecessor, greatly enhancing the scope and story, allowing for considerably more freedom of movement in a much more open world, both in terms of sheer real estate as well as vertically. But is it a classic?

YouTube randomly reminded me of this 6-year old video of mine. Not great audio aside (I used to record VO on a phone back then), I made very valid points back then as well, even if I do say so myself :D youtu.be/vDx-xgx5xOo

Doing something different with this video, if you enjoy then make sure to let me know in the YouTube comments!

Let's take a trip down memory lane to the early 90s in Eastern Europe, right after the Iron Curtain fell. Back then, the arcade was the go-to spot for gaming. I want to share with you five arcade games that were super popular in 1990s Eastern Europe!

just finished the Dawn of War 2 vanilla campaign, next is the much more narratively-interesting Chaos Rising expansion campaign

While accidentally deleting the original footage I had for my upcoming video did cause a delay, re-recording it did allowed me to refresh my analysis, so not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned; too bad this isn't possible for the rest of my older videos :))

there are many things to be said about arcade games, but one of them is "given an infinite supply of coins, most of them take somewhere between 30 to 40 minutes to complete"
