Been trying to decrease sugar in my diet & in the last year have discovered coconut sugar as an alternative. It has a not so heavy as sugar sweetness w/a bit of a caramel tone, & I started by replacing brown sugar with it.
I recently made a delightful homemade vanilla whipped cream & just sweetened my cream of wheat 💖. I’m replacing all sugar in recipes now.
Made from the flower’s nectar so no actual coconut flavor. The lower glycemic index is what attracted me but flavor has made me stay.
