Y’all asking for advice. A dear friend’ going through divorce, has had an emotional break recently & tried to commit suicide. She recognized she needs help but couldn’t get an appt until mid-March. I’ve given her crisis resources via nonprofit To Write Love On Her Arms. She promises not to try again but I know with folks in crisis you have to be careful. Does anyone have any other ideas? She still has three teenagers at home, so I’m concerned for them all. Thanks in advance for your advice. ❤️

@StarlightEmber Other than what other people recommended, you can ask her to safety plan with you by agreeing that if she feels like she is going to harm herself that she will let you know and go to the ER. Also, just checking in on her to let her know she is cared for is helpful (I'm sure you are already doing that). You could ask her on a scale of 1-10 how good and/or depressed she is feeling.
