Finished reading Destiny of the Republic (Millard) about the murder of US Pres. James Garfield. It was fascinating, and captures a lesser known president; one who is portrayed as being a good dude. Refreshing, educational, poignant.

Now in the first chapters of 3 books:
>A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
>Deliberate Evil: Nathaniel Hawthorne, Daniel Webster, and the Murder of a Salem Slave Trader by Edward Renehan
>A Darker Shade of Magic by V E Schwab

@agitated_trash Destiny of the Republic is so good, probably Millard's best book.
