It will be clear and cold this week in the Pacific Northwest, which will be beautiful — but it returns us to drought weather. We have not got nearly enough rain for rainy season and now will have a couple weeks of sunshine coming up. It’s nice to experience but terrible for potentially keeping us on the edge of drought.

Meanwhile, my eastern friends were aghast at their heat wave this weekend.

Yup I feel all of that. Sending rain dance vibes from Southern Oregon.
And, thinking are the terrible, wildfire days of 2022 were behind us, went to walk downtown yesterday and found that the AQI was 155 because of all the burning and smoke trapped in our valley.

@TERoberts That's insane that you've got wildfire smoke this time of year. It's all constant-low-thrum scary, isn't it? Geez.

@Snarkysteff
Not wildfires though -- dept. Of forestry burning with air stagnation.
Thankfully much better today.
