An interesting feature might be a filter for the community firehose where your friends toots don't get shown there.. you already have them in your friends toot list.
Might help reduce bandwidth needed and volume of traffic in the hose.

@Ideajuice Might be more drain on the system to parse who does or doesn't want their toots in the firehose.
@Snarkysteff Yeah.. I'm just projecting forward to when there are millions of people here. It will go too fast for anyone to keep up!
There are already filters in the top of each column so I was thinking of what other filters might be helpful.
I think from a shallow reading of the API that clients are currently responsible for implementing filters so you're right about it not saving bandwidth.
