Whether people love you or hate you, whether you make money or not, whether your praised, ignored, or reviled, the only artistic fire that keeps burning comes from within. #CoSoMusic
Thanks to Brian Turner for featuring my “Disgracing” single in the pic for the New York Times article about East Village Radio. Wishing EVR great success, and Viva revolutionary music! Thanks Duncan White for tagging me and sharing the story with me! #CoSoMusic
4-Decades later, I released those songs on the What's This? 1976 1979 compilation. If you haven't heard it yet, You Invited Me is one of the songs from the session with Robin, and engineered by the great Mike Freeman. All of these recordings were done in either 1 or 2 takes. No or little budget means you must deliver and my band did.

3-When he played the Skafish recordings he produced at a board meeting, all of the other executives hated it. They made him turn off the tape immediately and refused to listen further.

2-Robin had a tremendous sense and understanding of music. He had produced/executive produced such artists as David Bowie (The Man Who Sold The World), Dave Brubeck, Kraftwerk, and Buddy Miles (Them Changes), to name a few. Regarding my band, Robin’s intention was to get us signed to Mercury Records.

1-In 1977 when my band was causing riots both positively and negatively in Chicago, Robin McBride, a Producer and Director of A&R for Mercury Records in Chicago decided to take my band in the studio and produce four tracks.

Here's an ad for when Iggy Pop and my band were touring the Midwest 11/79. We did several shows, including a stop in Cleveland, Ohio, dates in Michigan, including Detroit and Ann Arbor, and two Chicago area shows. This ad is for the Club B'Ginnings gig. These were transformative and wild times for sure. Image provided by Ken Voss
I'm so sorry to share the news that Cat Glover has transitioned into spirit.
Many of you know her from her work with Prince, especially on the Sign o' The Times tour and her solo records then.
Before that, Cat worked with me when she was a featured dancer in The Wild Tonight video from my second album. She also performed with me at the Paradise Club when we shared the bill with adult star Seka.
We salute Cat and send her all of our light and love as she moves forward into the spirit world.
Since everything is interconnected, any healing of your own life contributes to the overall healing of the world. #CoSoMusicians
I'd love for you to join me in wishing my first cousin and phenomenal DJ Bobby Skafish a happy birthday. Here's a picture of Bobby (2nd from the left) with members of the Dead Boys and others. This was in October 1977 when the Dead Boys played Chicago at the Quiet Knight and my band opened the show. To a fantastic day and year ahead for my cousin Bobby! #CoSoMusic

As an artist, keep in mind that all ideas come from infinite intelligence (not the personality), and that in the human form, we should work toward expanding our consciousness, talent, physical skills and ability levels to extract the highest possible art from eternal source. Ideas beyond human comprehension have existed there since the beginning! #CoSoMusicians

Viva independent music!
First, I want to express how grateful I am to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. It means a lot.
Since everyone's birthday begins a new spiritual cycle, l always try to reflect on my just completed trip around the sun and determine what I am going to do better this time around. Again, a big thanks to everyone who remembered me!
