I am thrilled to celebrate the earthly birthday of one of the greatest blues artists of all time, my friend Muddy Waters. He was phenomenally innovative to both blues and rock n roll on countless levels!
On a personal note, Muddy welcomed me with open arms when we met in the mid 70s, including inviting me to jam with his band and comparing me to Mick Jagger in United Press International 12/81.
Let us all salute his greatness and celebrate what Muddy brought to this world!! #blues

@Skafish very cool. Were Bob Margolin and Rick Kreher in the band for your jam? They’re a Blues machine together. An aside: I’ve got to back up Mary Lane for a song at a gig, and Willie Buck at a private musician’s party.
