I have to say, I'm reeeeally beginning to like it here so much that I decided to go Pro today, most of all to say thanks to all the helpers and @th3j35t3r for his hard work keeping this a stable and safe place for a difficult transition of so many fleeing the crazy bird hellscape... and then finding so many cool people and features here, not to speak of not being governed by algorithms and ads, what a breath of fresh air!

Went to a very good talk on fungi last night. Learn lots, including including that planting trees on old, fungi-rich grassland is worse for capturing carbon than leaving the mushrooms to do the job. #fungi #environment #mycology

I originally joined Twitter for new updates. I've always been a news and politics junkie. I checked in more than a few times even on the slowest news days.
But I've changed. I've burned out. I've grown even more introspective.

As I see my favorite journalists and correspondents list the places they will be moving to should Twitter crash as predicted, I find I have no desire to follow any of them anywhere.

And it's bringing such peace to a small part of me that I didn't even know was unsettled.

This one just never gets old.
I posted it before, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of chances to post it again.
