I feel absolutely vindicated by this post. Both the description and remedies.
As the oldest of six kids (five half-siblings), I was always placed in position as co-parent. No more.
As refuser of negative gossip between siblings, I put myself outside of destructive interaction that creates distrust. No more.
As sister to sister who consistently tries to bait me into arguments by text about politics, vaccines, opposing values, I have stopped engaging. No more.
