Okay, I've looked back at the Mastodon messages I could find, and followed the threads as best I could.
It still reads like a bunch of hobbyists have gotten upset at someone who's made a better Instance, and are looking for excuses to get back at him.
It's not like CoSo hides its restrictions; I suspect most of us joined *because* of them.
And, it works :) It's a lovely place.

Came across this (random) instance of Mastodon & wondered how this well-intentioned block list is any less arbitrary and unfair than CoSo's firewall geo-blocker, which is pretty well standard SOP.
