We took Dyson, the Pitbull that someone dropped off on us to have him neutered. He weighed in at 68 pounds. He only weighed 35 pounds when we got him.
He had been bumped by a car and had a bad infection in his right leg. The first vet visit fixed that problem.
He has become such a sweet goofy boy. He amazes me how his personality expands every day. He is crate trained, leash trained ( and loves to go for walks). He obeys sit, stay wait and come. He is super smart.
So far this drop off has (p1)

cost us close to $300.00 And we would pay it again if we had too.
But I would like to say something to people who anonymously drop animals off. You should grow a backbone and go and talk to people and find a good home. Dyson was lucky. In this part of the Appalachians a lot of people still practice animal control with a gun.
Finding a good home for an unwanted animal is different from throwing them out and hoping for the best. They deserve to be treated better than that. People who are (2)

not willing to commit to an animal for the rest of it's life should think twice before they get a pet or should look into becoming a rescue foster home.
