Watching the firehose I wonder:
How long it will take people to realize there is no algo boosting their postings
When will they realize they are only talking to their 20 or 200 followers & the firehose?
Will the lack of algo re-enforcement to engage cause them to get bored & go away?
Or will they get what happens when they stop shouting & start talking to the people here?
@Winchester99 We more than doubled the number of people here in the last week, as I understand it. All of those people are used to the bird site and it’s going to take some time for them to learn how CoSo is different. Particularly because it kinda looks and feels the same on the surface. But I think if we keep up the gentle reminders and explanations the old habits will gradually change.
