In this era when it seems three quarters of our meaningful interactions with other people occur through the media of phones, computers, and other devices, don't underrate the value of live, in-person contacts with other human beings. There is something dehumanizing about thinking that images on screen are an adequate substitute for real people. It's good to remember that there are aspects of humanity that can't be easily imitated or substituted for by a machine.
