Now that the show “Discovery of Witches” has become more popular, others might start understanding where my online name Satu originated from. I was a huge fan of the books and although the character wasn’t my favorite the author had talked about where she came up with the name. It means fairytale in a different language. I thought that was appropriate for an online persona. Unelmia means Dream or Dreamland in a different language. So that became my name.
The books and show are extremely different but very much the same. The author isn’t really a traditional writer. She is a very accomplished professor at a college in CA. She wrote non fiction before this series. Shes studied History and Science. Alchemy is a large area in the history of science. The books are rich in underlying knowledge and symbolism. The story is so beautifully written that you can actually look up and research things in the book and find detailed information about them online
