My group had to go to an ancient tower that used to belong to a mage exiled from the kingdom to retrieve a key. It was located in a box, the following riddle needed to be answered to open it:

Stronger than any blade,
I am the thing of which kings are made.
Though warriors need me not,
Over me many wars have been fought.
Though I will still come to a sage's aid.
