"GOP Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who just signed a bill requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in classrooms, rejected $7.1 million from the Biden administration to feed nearly 600,000 hungry children in his state" ~ Channel 7, KPLC. Lake Charles, LA.

MSM owns quite a bit of responsibility for this one.

Public perception of the economy and reality are far apart.

"It may be hard to pinpoint exactly why there's a substantial gap between Americans' perception of the economy."

The other tie-in was the Trump Foundation (their fake charity that was the subject of another prosecution) was funding a series of scams like Trump U., it turns out.

And it is the WHOLE family, including Ivanka, named.

One was a fake custom vitamin scam based on blood tests.

Trump U. was first in a whole series of scams.

” ‘Trust me,’ Trump often said in endorsing and promoting the Investments,” the lawsuit adds. “Unfortunately, far too many victims did.”

Charges were dropped and the only concession was Trump U ceased operations in the state of TX.

Our governor was on the take even before he started.

I mean, our current AG, Paxton, probably would never have even gone after Trump in the first place. But to me Abbott's actions are worse, because he showed he knew better initially.

Behind the Bastards host said he would never do one on Trump, because his exploits are well known and too many to cover. But Trump U, by itself was worthy.

Listening to 3-part Behind the Bastards on the Trump University debacle and there was a TX tie-in on the sad tale.

As the scam became more evident and the victim loses mounted, TX Attorney General Greg Abbott started a case against Trump U. on behalf of TX citizens (like a lot of state AG were doing at the time.)

Then, Trump made some large donations to Abbott's campaign to become governor. Suddenly, all charges were dropped against Trump U.

Optimists point to steady progress in each election. Of course, Pubs are getting desperate putting voter suppression bills out that effectively lock them into power. I don't think some are Constitutional.

Texas residents only, please.

Dare I dream? Could Allred beat Cruz for the Senate? He is running a moderate campaign, promising to break with party and President when he thinks they are wrong. (Cruz ran scary ads saying Beto would just be a puppet for Pelosi. Not one ad had substance, just scare tactics.) Pelosi apparently was manifest evil

What about a fitness tracker? Short of a smartwatch yet it has everything I would want from a smartwatch.
It it useful for silent alarms (vibration) when I don't want to wake the wife.

Tracks sleep, exercise, heart rate, even EKG, and vibrates to alert to calls.

New one can be used with Google maps to give walking directions (so you don't have to look at a phone) useful in strange cities.

Ugh, record warmth in the Gulf doesn't bode well for hurricane season.

"This isn’t about president's. They could do this to any criminal!"

LOL great line by Sidney Morss making fun of Fox News coverage.

Biggest problem Trump supporters have is with themselves. They know the writing's on the wall and has been for a long time. Their support for Trump is actually nothing to do with Trump. It's to do with the fact by *not* supporting Trump, inside they'll have to reconcile the fact they got conned. Therefore, by definition deep inside they'll have to admit someone who could play them & milk them so hard is smarter than themselves.

And they can't deal with the fact that Trump is smarter than them.

"An isolated grid also creates persistent problems even when no foul weather impacts the state"

It is really stupid to stay separate but the issue is a symbolic political issue (what isn't these day) that keeps TX politicians from facing the evidence.

Texas is headed to an avoidable blackout, ...again. Article outlines the statistical folly of keeping Texas grid separated. Next crisis is likely summer rather than winter.
