Listening to 3-part Behind the Bastards on the Trump University debacle and there was a TX tie-in on the sad tale.

As the scam became more evident and the victim loses mounted, TX Attorney General Greg Abbott started a case against Trump U. on behalf of TX citizens (like a lot of state AG were doing at the time.)

Then, Trump made some large donations to Abbott's campaign to become governor. Suddenly, all charges were dropped against Trump U.

Follow

Charges were dropped and the only concession was Trump U ceased operations in the state of TX.

Our governor was on the take even before he started.

I mean, our current AG, Paxton, probably would never have even gone after Trump in the first place. But to me Abbott's actions are worse, because he showed he knew better initially.

Behind the Bastards host said he would never do one on Trump, because his exploits are well known and too many to cover. But Trump U, by itself was worthy.

The other tie-in was the Trump Foundation (their fake charity that was the subject of another prosecution) was funding a series of scams like Trump U., it turns out.

And it is the WHOLE family, including Ivanka, named.

One was a fake custom vitamin scam based on blood tests.

Trump U. was first in a whole series of scams.

” ‘Trust me,’ Trump often said in endorsing and promoting the Investments,” the lawsuit adds. “Unfortunately, far too many victims did.”
