You could obfuscate the counts such that no person knows enough to reveal, and make the penalty severe enough no one would brave the attempt.

There are myriad ways to interfere with elections already. "We can't improve this outdated practice because someone might misuse it" fails to convince.

Here's a better idea: Don't reveal ANY results until all are available. That screws up the media horserace coverage though.

@LKNWoman I used to be Independent, voting split every election and voting D, R, and even L for President over the years.

After the performance of Pub Congress failing to even put up even token resistance to Trump I vowed to never vote Pub all the way down to dog catcher ever again.

I leaned D slightly before 2016, but seeing people I thought rational support that clown just because of an R by his name. SMDH

Hope the GOP can just go away. Leave the Dems to split into two.

Later, I was still biking on a local walk-bike trail around a park and was approaching an older man walking, BURIED in his phone. (Pet peeve-why walk outside and never look up? ) I slowed and gave warnings, he is still buried. Then he meandered in front of me as I was passing. Came to a complete stop before hitting him and yelled HEY! He looked up and it was an older Asian man wearing a Trump hat!

I passed and an older Asian lady was yards behind him. She saw my shirt and smiled.

I was biking around my neighborhood yesterday evening in my Harris-Walz shirt. I rode by three younger black guys talking and one yelled, "You are liable to get beat up wearing that around here." I yelled back, "White Privilege."

I thought it was a little funny, but they were screaming laughing.

Many equate socialism with the excesses of China and USSR. But for authoritarians the political system is just a means to maintain power. Right or Left is irrelevant when absolute power is in play.

@crimsonblue I am continually in awe of how little work and merit have to do with those who rise to the C suite in companies.

It is more correlated to political positioning and a little bit of flexible ethics than competence and vision. That "flexible " is usually flexed in all the bad ways.

Even most Democrats would be considered conservative in comparison to the spectrum in other countries.
