Public education put the U.S. on the global map. It maximizes everyone's potential and therefore the country's potential.
Education shouldn't be reserved only for an aristocratic class. That just perpetuates the aristocracy.
People who worry about "their" money being spent on "other's" children miss the point. "Our" money is spent to keep growing "our" economy.
