Kamala Harris is proposing a plan that will allow Medicare to cover in-home health care. In response, Donald Trump is proposing THREE plans:
1. Hire children to build our cars.
2. Old people who can't afford healthcare will be recycled into jerky.
3. Former auto workers and children killed in factory accidents will be redesignated as "Old People Who Can't Afford Healthcare".
@LnzyHou - WOW! Just because it's actually plausible that TFG might propose a plan that includes some... minor... cannibalism, that's no reason to be rude!
PS - I still remember that day (1/6), and all my (R) friends saying (later, when they knew it wasn't going to work & the story started changing) that there was no way that weirdo with the horns and the make-up could POSSIBLY be one of them!!!! And it turned out that he was THEIR "shaman".😆 Frakkin' weirdos!!!!
Some days my heads spins so hard I fear it will fly off my shoulders.

@LnzyHou - HOLY CRAP! That is frightening! Was that something grifted straight from The Horse's @$$? Or just some trash one of his followers made?
But I admire your reserve! You did NOT rip that little stuffed freak's head off because YOU are a professional! 👍
Was at home of my DIL’s cousin who hosted 100th birthday party for Anne, her mother.
I was pre-warned “Do not talk politics”.
Did not stop host from launching into “those goddamn liberals, blah, blah, blah. I got up & left the room lest I break my promise.
Took everything I had.
@LnzyHou - "You're a better man than I, Gunga Din." 👍
Promise to my DIL is more important than trump.
@TheBigWu @LnzyHou Not for me.
My promises end with "Don't start nothin; won't be nothing."
Blasted my brother-in-law with both barrels when he started on some stupid trope he came across in his RW internet echo chamber. (This was some stupid crap about how Australia weapons laws actually increased crime. Debunked YEARS ago yet they keep recycling it online.)
@S_r_stone @LnzyHou - Well... Everybody gotta live their own life. Lnzy followed their conscience, and that's never a bad thing.
In fact, it's a good thing. And that's why I added the Gungs Din quote. Gunga is, apparently, a better man than you too. We all make our own choices, and welcome to the club.
@S_r_stone @TheBigWu @LnzyHou Their crime rate dropped precipitously, and the suicide rate dropped in _half_.
@AskTheDevil @TheBigWu @LnzyHou The stat that opened my eyes over 20 years ago was that you are FOUR TIMES more likely to have your gun used on someone in your house than to have it used to protect yourself or thwart a crime.
Neither are likely, but guns as a deterrent is more myth than anything else. Nobody likes to think of that comparative increased danger of accidents, suicide, domestic violence. What might have been a fight turns into a murder.
@S_r_stone @AskTheDevil @LnzyHou - I put that right up there w/ "The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.".
While true in most cases where cops, or armed guards are involved, most civilian cases end with a tackle or an improvised weapon. Including, and I've read this a few times, purses.
I'm not sure if they knock the gun out of the attacker's hand, or they just clock them with their "Woman Sack", but it works.
@S_r_stone @TheBigWu @LnzyHou Yep.
Most people have this image that they'll be like a hero in an action movie, but in real life, most people panic or just don't know what to do in a violent situation.
I know a granny that knocked an assailant unconscious by flinging a marble ashtray at his head like a discus.
@AskTheDevil @S_r_stone @LnzyHou - That is exactly The Thing.
Experienced military people with loads of experience will, one day, just freeze up. It happens to them. It can certainly happen to someone who's never been in that situation before.
Or some old lady spangs a guy with an ashtray. 😆
It's something that is NOT on my "Bucket List". While never having experienced that, I have had life threatening experiences, and that's close enough for my palate.
@TheBigWu @AskTheDevil @LnzyHou A friend's grandmother damn near shot one of us when a 38 she kept in her purse fell out and went off!
This old lady could no more find that gun, pull it, and shoot it in time to thwart any attacker. It was far more likely they would just steal the gun. ORRR, she would overreact and shoot at some noise. ORRR, an accidental shooting like the one we escaped.
We laughed it off until thinking it through.
@TheBigWu @AskTheDevil @LnzyHou That was when we were about ten BTW. Her daughter, friends mother, fussed a bit but grandma was adamant she needed that gun with her. (She was in a group of about ten other people; not roaming the mean streets alone.)
@S_r_stone @AskTheDevil @LnzyHou - Went to buy weed from a friend's aunt once long ago. Right before we got there some guys from down the street had kicked in the door and stolen most of her prescription drugs. Her husband (Maybe 108 y/o? Seemed like it!) is running around the house, screaming all manner of vitriol about these guys, and waving his equally old revolver around WITH HIS FINGER ON THE TRIGGER!!!
And even with cops on the way, my buddy wouldn't leave until she sold us the weed. 😆
Say whatever you will about humanity, you all sure are colorful!
What an experience!
@TheBigWu @LnzyHou I start light though, with dripping sarcasm about not being as smart as they are to know all these "facts."
