I'm still flabbergasted that so many African countries see Russia as an anticolonial power. And antiracist. Because I can assure you, Russia is neither.

@LiberalLibrarian In 2015/16, I was flabbergasted to read essays/articles targeted to evangelicals normalizing praise of Putin and the work he had done to make Russia a good Christian nation.
Shudda seen the writing on the wall. They loved he was persecuting the people they thought should be persecuted.
Never thought the whole GOP would follow down that particular rabbit hole though.

@S_r_stone @LiberalLibrarian The idea of evangelicals cozying up to Russian Orthodox Christianity ... they're heretics twice over to each other. The only things they agree on are Jesus, porn, and homosexuality. And authoritarianism, of course.
