If you are leaving xwitter, wind down your account properly. It's a multi-day process.

1) Request an archive your tweets, then download to your computer

2) Delete your tweets using a 3rd party tool (see wikihow.com/Delete-All-Tweets)

3) Delete account

You may want to also

• Make sure that you're removing comments on other people's tweets as well as your own tweets
• Delete your followers
• Delete everything you're following
• Delete likes (if possible)
• Remove or change personal name, address, phone number, language, and any other information on your profile that can easily lead back to you.

@DavidSalo @SSNBubblehead any suggestions if you've been locked out for 2 years? They want more personal info & I have long deleted the email account it was attached to. No personal info ever used there but still, I'd prefer it was erased.

I don't know the answer to this but I've boosted it in case someone else has an idea.
