On reflection, I'm online less & less these days. I don't think it's giving up, per se. It's the realization that my time in the political realm has passed. I did my best to secure the future for my kids & those who come after me (related or not).
It's time for me to turn the page. Kids, you own this now.
@AskTheDevil We are unwanted, and I don't have, nor care to, expend the emotional energy for the time that I have left. I want to chill. That's what I was promised I could do. Plus, I get funny looks from the young'uns in the campaign boiler room. It's on their shoulders now, if they care to make it so.
@SSNBubblehead Well, as you say, you've already done what you can.
The folks you have handed your work off to are the ones who will need to carry it forward.
If they don't, then they get what one earns by ignoring the contributions of those who fought before you.
@SSNBubblehead Thank you for your service, work, and belief.
It is difficult to lay down work that was important to you, and have faith in others to carry it on after you. Especially when you cannot see a sign you were heard.
The faith matters.
@SSNBubblehead I fought in WW2. What's your excuse for tapping out early?
