To those of you who are on duty this Christmas day, whatever your profession, I wish you warm greetings of the season and give you a big thanks for being there. 🤗
That brought back some memories of not just often being on duty during the holidays, but also swapping duty days to get an occasional 3 day weekend to drive up the coast to New England during the holidays with a carload of Navy friends.

@Priestess I get that. I spent more than one Christmas at sea, or on duty if in port. As a civilian, working Christmas usually came with time and a half, so there was that. I volunteered on more than one occasion.
