Kind of a creepy trip to CVS this morning.

Both the person in front of me and the one behind me in line at the pharmacy counter were picking up Paxlovid 'scripts. There were also several cars at the drive-through which is where they do COVID tests.

I came home and looked up the data and my county has almost no cases in the last 14 days, but the ICUs in my local hospitals at are 99% and 87% capacity with COVID cases.

It's easy to forget that this is still an active threat.
