This was back when a Russian company bought out LiveJournal, @Yzrch The rumor was that Gov't officials bought it to stop protest organization while Putin consolidated his power.
It started as a few for ethical reasons, then more when the TOS got translated into Russian so nobody could read it, then more as fewer used it until within a year only 2 of my writer friends still posted there.
That's when I left.

Spending more time here b/c a few writer friends from twitter have made the jump.
Sadly, I can see the similarities to what happen to LiveJournal all those years ago.

1st off, @Oma_Trisha take a deep breath. We've been there. what I do is when I send something to a beta reader I ask how much time they'll need to read & get back to me. Then send a polite status request on that date. It gives me tool to stop my anxiety.

If your state does in person voting, watch out for MAGA "poll watchers".

Back now that the head twit fired the legal staff, which does not give me hope for it's future. :(
