I often point people to this resource, one because it is a huge and varied group of teachers. Two because, almost every "type" of Buddhist is represented.
To use: Just pick a random teacher, listen to a few "dharma talks", stop if it does not grab you. Go on the another teacher. Sooner than latter, some voice is going to break through, strip a bit of your amour off, and then.... you have a "Path".

So, as CEO/CFO of our family corporation, I authorized my wife (Co-CEO) that she was carte blanche on planning Hawaii.
So now we have tickets. We'll be spending NYE and 7 days. And we are lining up excursions now.
We feel like we live a resort life now. Sitting poolside or beach side with a cocktail does nothing for us.
Adventure tours like volcano helicopter rides, hiking, etc. will be our thing.

There has to be a compounding of tragedies here.
Since we didn't take that trip to Costa Rica...and since we are going to be here a couple of more years, I threw some light at my wife.
10 days in Hawaii it is early next year. She gets to pick everything, from where we stay to the excursions. From bed and breakfast to The Four Seasons. Volcano helicopter tours, hiking, dining, beach--it's her program.
Just, we aren't taking "the kids".
My ambitions are architecture and engineering, not management. I've done most things and can do many things...but I never worry about my job.
He wanted to discuss politics. If not that office politics. If not that...
"Sports!" I offered to him. "Politics taints relationships. It makes us see each other as political parties instead of human beings ."
So, with the politics dispensed with...we talked about sports.
So, yeah the conversation was short after that.
Remember thatj coworker that I shutdown over the summit and humiliated for mentioning the TFG's name in mixed company.
We still got a lot o' love. He calls me from time to time for my no bullshit assessment of things, "you always tell me the truth."
"Maybe these 'games' you are referring to are all in your head?"
He really wanted to know if I were going for the now open manager position. I said I liked the guy acting like my boss as my next boss and would welcome it being official. 1/2

At work, I'm stil getting carte blanche. My change requests never get technically challenged. I'm allocated dozens of man hours from other departments and I'm rewriting part of the project and schedule.
Work is great. Life is great.
One week past my 40th reunion and I have completed all three weight lifting sessions. So, my new body goal is on a roll.
This morning, I *wanted* to lift.
The sauna is still an integral part of my life.
