I have coworkers from two employers ago out of work for months after the company was eaten up. It is sad. Their posts are like "after 15 years with..."
I left the best job i ever had at the time after 8 years just to do it. My policy is to move on after 5 years no matter what, for forced professional growth. I never wanted to be that comfortable.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN It’s not a bad way to roll. But it my former position, switching could land you anywhere in the country where you could get laid off there. A guy from my training class went to Minot, North Dakota, that destination never left my brain.
