Just before the goodnight kiss, my wife hit me with something I've never for heard before.
HER: "I'm proud of you."
ME: 🤯
HER: "For all your success at work, hitting home runs."
It was out of the blue. I mean, I don't mind the recognition but this was shocking. My take is her love and respect are evidenced in that a woman of her stature is still with me. 😂
Or course we have both changed through life. She married a GOP voting libertarian and ended up with Alan Alda.
