Yesterday, I advised my boss that the future requires product development that is every bit worth the time, but not as easily quantifiable or measurable.
OK yeah. I don't need nor do I want to be project managed.
On a different project call yesterday with my boss and colleagues...
PM: "Are we good meeting these dates?"
ME: "Yes, but I have a proposition on the table to change how we are executing this to get it done a year earlier. "
1/2
PM: "That's what the execs asked me yesterday, 'why does it take 18 months?'"
ME: "I anticipated that and it doesn't."
My plan was on the table several weeks ago. It's getting traction now though. Things get negotiated today.
