My wife said the contractor warned her that the demolition sounds would get loud for anyone in the house.
I'm going to stay here with the canine companion no matter. She'll need comforting.
And about the sounds? You've seen my posts about the hood flipping, right?
I deal with annoying construction sounds every day. I can find ear plugs or headphones.

Our groomer uses them both to protect the dogs' ears from the blow dryer noise and to help calm them. It's like a hug for their head. Not all dogs tolerate them, but the ones who do really seem to benefit. (I even got one for the cats - it makes shaving mats off a lot easier for them.)
