I don't celebrate much.

Tomorrow, my canine companion (CC) turns 8. My heart gets a little sad when I think about how many years left we have together. I often ask myself how I can love her more. How can I bring more joy to her life. Being home with her 24/7 has been a blessing for us both. We are in sync. We communicate. She is my familiar.

There's always more that I can and should do for her. Spring will take us back to the dog park. Maybe its time for some tug of war.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN I still miss my pooch. Everything you typed as well as the ability to travel is why I don't have another one yet.

@MidnightRider I think a smaller one is a must in retirement. I'll need some time to recover after her. She is irreplaceable. The next one will be different.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN I like a surgery center clean house, I don't miss the collie double coat of fur.
