On my road trip I got dangerously drowsy on Route 93 on the way back. That section between Hoover Dam! And I-40 that is a straight line to a roll over accident.
Thankful for rumble strips. Sections of Route 93 in Arizona were themselves a rumble strip. The curvy sections were easy to stay awake for. I found it yet another metaphor for life...is a highway.
I saw nothing else beautiful but the desert. I love my truck. For these road trips or the dog park, it is just perfect in its simplicity.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN Interstate 11 is supposed to go up that way...how's it going?
Did you come down 93 to Wickenberg to 74?
I had one trip on my bike across 10 to 95. I added a lock of love for my bro and it was a nice day, so I rode up 95 to 40 to 93. Turned around by Hoover dam.
That was over 700 miles of two-wheeled therapy that day.🙃
@RJMay3 I have done two wheel therapy myself. Back in the day, the beeline highway.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN out of Shea?
Mine would begin where 93 starts in Wickenberg, at the beginning of 89, up the hill at Yarnell. I'd yell hi to the cows in the fields, then climb the hills in Prescott. I'd stop at Whiskey Row or Watson Lake or both. If I was feeling good, Mingus mountain, then Jerome. Other stops were Cottonwood, Sedona, Flagstaff and Snowbowl. I'd use 17/303 to head home.
@RJMay3 Yep!! Through Fountain Hills.
