As long as I’ve been teaching if students miss > 10 days they have to do “attendance recovery” (after school) or they fail the class. I heard it was an nc state rule, not local.
Today we were told that since there is no attendance recovery (couldn’t PAY anyone to do it) the # of absences won’t matter. Our attendance rates are about to get even worse.
Teachers just looked at one another, shook our heads. Why even bother saying anything? They’ll FA&FO without us.

@Ruthat wouldn’t work for my hs, they don’t drive or have cars. But I can see how it’d work in some schools!
