I got a notification letter; Aetna is dropping pharmaceutical coverage effective 12/31/24.

My husband is retired Army.

The question is, which one works out better?

Tricare Prime or
Tricare for Life

We don't want to rely on trying to find in-service providers, and like our current VAMC doctors.

@Priestess let me ask the retiree in the morning.

@Ruthat Thanks!
If my husband signs up for TriCare, I think he can sign up for family coverage, so I'll be covered to.

He's in the hospital right now, and the bill must be running up to an insane amount. I hope his retired veteran status, Medicare, and Aetna can all work together to keep the costs down.

He's still going to have to get lots of expensive care and rehab. I think Tricare will be better for us than Aetna.

@Priestess Tricare for Life and Medicare is covering all my Mom's cancer care items. And it covered all my Dad's Heart issue except rehab.
