Climate change has caused the heating of the waters that results in these storms growing in intensity and ferocity. They will keep getting worse if we do not do something about climate change. The first step is to elect HARRIS/WALZ and congressional members in 2024 who will do something about it. Helene’s Cat 4 landfall gives U.S. a record 8 Cat 4/5 hurricane landfalls in the past 8 years, 7 of them being U.S. landfalls. That’s as many Cat 4 and 5 landfalls as occurred in the prior 57 years.
