Just to mention, and not to be negative - just informed and this is the same issue as electric car and solar panel federal support, the proposed 25K downpayment only helps those who pay federal taxes. If your income is such that you owe little or no federal taxes, it won't help you much or at all so keep that in mind when planning to buy a house IF the bill passes in congress.

@TrueBloodNet Didn't they fix the electric car issue by allowing dealerships to put the fed credit on the front end?
My issue is that it's too big. I'm in a red state that is anti green that solar on roofs will increase home property tax and you'll never offset that with savings off the solar investment. However, I would love a solar flower $10,000 last time I priced one. They clean themselves and close for the night and when I move they can move to.

@Ruthat Yes, they did. I should have mentioned that. And yes, there are issues with solar. I have enough space to put some panels next to my home instead of on top of it. Although less attractive, that should not increase my insurance that much. In MI, we get scattered sunshine so IDK how long the cost payoff would be. Mostly because I can't afford it anyway LOL But my complaint about housing write offs still stand.

@TrueBloodNet Agreed. I'm in Tennessee trying to make a move for Nevada.
