my first full week w/o my toxic employee who went on mat leave.
ofc, she had to stir up drama even from afar upsetting 1 of my staff this week.
resolved. but overall, a much nicer office culture w/o the 1 cunt who did good work but had an attitude problem.
her mat leave cover is lovely so far. promising. understands centering equity in our work.
i'm now hiring a replacement for the one leaving to go back to school. excited about the prospect of changing the dynamic here. π
@Ruthat ha ha. i aim to not get fired. 3 close calls so far:
1st time, i explained to my board how our grant making wasn't demonstrably equitable (using the past 10 yrs #s) & that the community perceived us as a 'white org'.
how dare i say these things? we are equitable! it says so in our value stmt.
2nd time, i put a rainbow flag on our sm covers during pride month & posted about the importance of kindness on the trans day of visibility. some donors complained.
3rd was equally fucked up.
