Today, as I was mowing the front yard, 3 men at different time of the day stopped and asked I needed my grass mowed. I said, " Yes, but I don't have money to pay you." Each of them said, 'oh, ok." and walked on.
What happened to just doing something for someone out of the kindness of one's heart? Each could clearly see I'm an senior citizen, yet they weren't fazed by that, but only concerned about an opportunity to make a buck from an old lady.

@Kittiekatt53 being old has nothing to do with someone looking for a paid gig of cutting grass and when you cut your own grass you don't have to worry about what they'll screw up.
