You can expect prices to higher in the next couple months. There are 10+ refineries with a total of ~10% of US refining capacity that will be undergoing some level of maintenance lasting between 2 weeks and 2.5 months starting in mid-February. we need more refining capacity... yesterday

@LnzyHou Easy to say, harder to do. The U.S. doesn't have the infrastructure (yet) to support large-scale EV adoption. The good news is that the Biden adminstration allocated $900 million for EV charger infrastructure. That should raise from just under 47,000 EV charging stations now available for public use, according to the U.S. DOE, to 500,000 by 2030. smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/.

Electric hybrids are available now. My son drove from Philadelphia to Detroit on one tank of gas. If the buying public refused to buy combustion engines, you’d see how quickly the conversion would take place.

I grew up in Detroit. The car industry will turn on a dime if consumers stop buying. Almost all auto manufacturers have been working on electric vehicles for 20+ years.
