I always called Miles Davis, "Baby", when it came to his music. If I was feeling down, angered, or fearful, all I had to do was put on something he recorded, lay back, & just say, "Soothe me Baby, soothe me.", borrowing the lyric from the Sam & Dave song of the same name.
With its fast start & slow down near the end, "Milestones" was one of those tunes that soothed me as I smoked a cigarette & had a cup of tea before bedtime.
So... Soothe me, Baby, Soothe Me.
