I was reading an article and its responses online earlier where a guy got dumped due to his girlfriend taking an issue with him not āaccepting Godā even though he claimed to be Catholic. So essentially they believed in the same thing! š¤·āāļø The responses, predominantly in her favor, were despicable. āHe should be ashamed of himself for not being Christian!ā āCatholics donāt believe in God!ā

@Punisher1976 Fundamentalist Protestants don't acknowledge the validity of other religions, even Christian ones. In her eyes, he might as well be any other Pagan or non-believer.
@ToolPackinMama Sounds about right. I dated a Protestant and it was like dealing with a powder keg waiting to ignite and explode any time I was not 100% in agreement with her on not just āGodā but life in general. Turned me off to organized religion forever after that bullshit, which is why Iām more spiritual and a believer in karma and humanityā¦..not inhumanity like these puritanical morons.
@Punisher1976 @ToolPackinMama A friend of mine once told a person they'd been dating that they were breaking things off, because they didn't want a three-way with God. They said they felt like they had an extra person they didn't invite to the relationship who had too many opinions about how it ought to work.
