I was a fat, short, bespeckled kid in High School who was bullied mercilessly because of not only the way I looked, but also because I preferred the company of "outsiders" who were on the lower spectrum of society at the time. My home growing up was FULL of guns (3 brothers in military, full metal father). Not a ONE TIME did I think I should take a gun to school and shoot it up, or use the excuse of being bullied to hurt others. Fuck that Colorado shooter. Fuck him to hell.
@LnzyHou I actually hate the saying "It is what it is", but I came through stronger. The family and friends I choose helped me get through it, and I thank them every day for it. And I'm grateful they saw me for who I was, not for who other's tried to make me to be :)
