Why? Why is President Zelenskyy meeting with the man who is responsible for the death and destruction in Ukraine? I don't see this as a good move. It will only serve to bolster Trump leading up to the election. Bad move and I strongly disapprove.

As unsavory as it is, I think it's the best move for President Zelenskyy if Trump eventually gets elected. If Trump feels disrespected by Zelenskyy that's the ball game.
@Helical_Code @Tacitus_Kilgore I believe it doesn’t matter what Zelenskyy does and he knows this. Trump sold Ukraine to Putin in 2016.

I guess I must concede that, based on past maneuvers, Trump is unlikely to be of any use to Zelenskyy. But the Republican half of Congress can be. It's easier for them to withhold aid from Zelenskyy if he disses Trump by refusing to meet with him.
