@Pepstar

It moves so slowly, you feel like you are in an eye over London.

@LnzyHou Did you go to the top of St. Paul's Cathedral? You can really get an eye over London from there. It's like looking over Paris from the Eiffel Tower.

@Pepstar

No but would love it too.

Lived in Denver when British Air opened a terminal. We could fly round trip for $299. My son and I would go for long weekend, to theater, Harrods, high tea at St George’s, Bath, Stonehenge, etc.

We loved the tube. Almost never took a cab.

@LnzyHou Those were the days! Cheapest flight I ever took was $549 round trip in 1986.That was only a 2 week trip. I went again in 2009 for 5 weeks but stayed with a cousin. He also drove me around most of the country except north (York). Would love to see Scotland! I have a very bad sense of direction so taking the tube held a bit of anxiety for me. I didn't like to take it alone.

@Pepstar

My son memorized all the routes. We felt like gophers at the end of the day. He drove us to Stonehenge and Bath. The roundabouts were challenging especially when not used to right side driving.
